Perfect artistic work of women prisoners can be seen in the Doll Museum of Bhopal

Usually whenever we heard name related to doll either we think about children play toy or we relate it with a horror story. Well in the case of this its starkly different. Yes, this doll is actually made by jail inmates and then transferred to this museum.

About the Doll Museum 
Rechristened recently as Kanha emporium, this museum at former jail houses dolls and other handmade items from different jail inmates across the state. Popularly known as the “Guria ghar” (the doll house). This is one of the famous tourist attraction in Bhopal.

Women prisoners and Doll Museum
Doll House is also known as Doll Museum. It’s a result of innovative and ingenious vision and effort to channelize the energy and artistic qualities of women prisoners. It is situated in the premises of the old jail. It is the result of encouraging the constructive artistic aptitude of all those imprisoned women who are spending their lives in total isolation, far away from the society and culture, surrounded by the walls of the jails.

About the Museum
National Telecom Museum, only one of its kinds in Asia, was inaugurated on 18 August, 1995, by Sh. P. S. Saran, Member(Services), Telecom Commission, New Delhi. It is located at Arera Telephone Exchange Bhopal.

The National Telecom Museum is full of unique exhibits, some of which are Red sandstone pillers used to erect India’s first long distance telegraph line between Calcutta and Agra in 1851 over a distace of about 1000 miles, Heiten Galvanometer used for Morse Telegraph link between Calcutta and Diamond Harbour, 900 kg bronze gong of the clock tower of Simla Telegraph Office, a 1880 vintage, Office table of Sir C. V. Raman, 1930 Physics Nobel Laurate along with his office ceiling fan.

About Bhadbhada Dam
The Dam is set of 11 sluice gates at south east corner of Upper Lake. It was constructed in 1965 .The gates are used to control the outflow of water from the lake to Kaliasot river. The gates get  usually opened only when the city receives heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. It has a full tank level of 1666.80 feet. People love to go there throughout the year with family and friends to have outing and picnics, but it becomes picturesque during rains. Locals wait for the news of opening of its gates when lake is overflowing and rush to see its beauty.
Attractions
The main attractions when people get to come at any cost is when after heavy rainfall the gates of the dam gets opened. Then in from of the main pathway there is Bridge of Sair Sapata , when visited at night time will sooth you from inside out after seeing the lights of the bridge . Going ahead on this road, in  front is National Judicial academy . There is a Hindu temple near the sluice gates. It’s a free visit place. People love to come here at Bhadbhada Dam throughout the year with family and friends to have outing and picnics, but it becomes picturesque during rains. There are lots of options of snacking here . The most common in monsoon season is Bhutta (corn), all types of corns are here . Then you got options in ice creams , pop corns are there and many more things . Bhopal is a branch of the National Museum of Natural History, New Delhi, which is christened as Regional Museum of natural history, Bhopal. It is the center of an informal environment education, whose main purpose is to make people aware of environmental protection through various internal and external activities. The horrifying Bhopal gas tragedy (1984) made everyone alert towards the environment and mankind. after which minister introduced disaster management institute and environment institute in Bhopal. National Museum of Natural History gives us the glance of the environment.

It is located in the Environment Complex in Bhopal. The museum was inaugurated in the year 29 September 1997, by the then Minister of Environment and Forests of India, Saifuddin Soz. The program was chaired by the then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijaya Singh.

About the Museum
The museum offers a unique opportunity to understand the biodiversity of Central India and the complex natural make-up surrounding it. In the galleries located in the museum, the exhibition has been displayed in collaboration with transcripts, translate and visual audio. Dioramas and phenomena are presented in the order of selected subjects.

A temporary exhibition site is also made in premises which exhibit organized displays on various subjects from time to time. One can see the glimpse of Nawab Era by visiting at this monument

Very few people have heard about Golghar museum in Bhopal. If you have interest in art and handicrafts of nawabs era then visit at this place. Golghar Museum showcases variety of arts, handicraft and social life from the Nawab-era. The museum was inaugurated in April 2013 by Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma. this museum has been developed at ‘Golghar’ monument. This monument is situated near Bab-e-Ali ground, Shahjahanabad, Bhopal.

About Golghar Monument
The round building was constructed near Pari Park in Shahjahanabad locality of Bhopal. It was christened as Gulshan-e-Alam but came to be popularly known as Golghar. This building was constructed during the regime of Nawab Shahjahan Begum (1868-1901). The round-shape building has 12 doors. Its staircase is also in round shape leading to the dome.

Structure
Its pillars are cylindrical and doors are decorated. The dome has been painted with flowers of purple, yellow, orange, red, brown and green colors. There is a round-shape balcony on the upper story, which is covered with tin shade supported by wooden pillars. Originally, the building had also a Persian style park known as Jannat Bagh.

Monument
First, the building housed the office of Shahjahan Begum. Later, it was used as aviary where various kinds of birds were kept. It is said that in the times of Nawab Shahjahan Begum, threads of gold and silver were kept in the aviary from which birds used to knit their nests. The Nawab had presented some of these to Queen Victoria. In Nawab-era band was played daily in the evening here for amusement.

The Regional Science Centre, Bhopal (RSCB) is located in the Shyamla Hills area of Bhopal, India. It is aimed at popularizing science and technology among the people, particularly the students. It is one of the constituent units of the National Council of Science Museums or NCSM.RSCB was inaugurated on 12 January 1995 by the then president of India Shankar Dayal Sharma.

The Centre has over 266 science exhibits spanning across a wide range of scientific disciplines. Most of the exhibits are interactive. The 5-acre RSCB campus includes a 3-acre Science Park, which contains over 60 exhibits such as pulley demonstrations, a windmill and solar-powered devices. The campus also houses a small Dinosaur Park and a zoo.

The place is full of knowledge and It is a good place for students to learn various technologies through demonstrations of various inventions and a guidebook for young innovators.Children can also play in the park and play area outside. The Centre has a 200-seater auditorium and a 25-seater conference hall (both air conditioned). These are also available to the external groups for organizing relevant events, at a small charge. There is also a 50-seater AC hall, where the 3D Science Show is organised. RSCB has a small portable planetarium with an inflatable dome, with a capacity of 25 people.

RSCB also has a Mobile Science Exhibition bus with 24 exhibits. This bus goes to the small towns and remote villages of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for creating scientific awareness through anti-superstition demonstrations, science-related films, sky observation and educational lectures.

          Shaurya Smarak , depicting the sacrifice of our soldiers


          Shaurya Smarak (शौर्य स्मारक) is a war memorial situated at Bhopal, inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 14 October 2016.Shaurya Smarak is established by government of Madhya Pradesh at Bhopal in the heart area of Arera Hills near M.P. Nagar and Secretariat. It is sprawled over large area of about 12 acres. It is developed as a public park with imaginative and interesting architectural installations depicting sacrifice of the soldier.It has a really big campus in which we can get to know more about our soldiers and it is also a park where one can after visiting can sit and enjoy with their families.

          In the park there is a 62-feet high sculpture rising from the ground called Shaurya Stambh depicting Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. The Army is signified by Granite, The Navy in Grey and the Air Force in White. Around the Shaurya Stambh names of the martyred soldiers have been inscribed on glass boards. Beside the Shaurya Stambh there is Smarak Jyoti which is lit in holographic flame for the honor of the martyrs. Not only this there is a red sculpture kept in the park which when seen from main axis it appears as a ‘Namaskar’ and when looked from another axis it appears as ‘A Drop of Blood’. If we move further in the park there is an underground museum having dedicated galleries and landmark in the memory of war heroes who had shown their gallantry in the various wars with Pakistan and China. It also shows some historical heroes like Maharana Pratap and Tipu Sultan. The galleries portray the original handmade art pieces and portrait of war heroes and display of different arms. Interestingly many displays shows the various ranks and badges for different ranks of Army, Navy and Air force. It is a very good knowledge for a common citizen. Some galleries are also dedicated for award-winning heroes for Paramvir Chakra, Mahavir Chakra, etc. with their short descriptions of heroic acts.

          Shaurya Smarak, the place nicely depicts various aspects of war and life achievements of a soldier in a museum with huge green park and auditorium and huge memorial monument.Here one can get peace and soul satisfaction after viewing the whole campus that how our soldiers deal with various situations and fight for the country. On outside periphery various display boards show the proud list of martyrs of various wars of Madhya Pradesh origin along with the national heroes. The main attraction of the museum is a gallery which allows visitors to experience the cold of Siachen Glacier and understand the terrains of the Siachen war zones. Apart from this Shaurya Smarak has an amphitheater which is also a attracting part of this place.

Especially impressive are the Varaha Avatar in the Vishnu Gallery which has good works showing Lord Vishnu and his avatars, the Devi gallery with various goddesses including a superb Chamunda, finely carved voluptuous apsaras and fertility figures, and the Shiva Gallery with some beautifully carved reliefs of Uma-Maheshwar on Mount Kailash.
